The Anxious Travelers – Yes, You CAN Travel With Anxiety!
We originally launched this site as Almost Granola to highlight life as a family of eight. We quickly discovered that our readers connected most with our stories about anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, so we re-branded and here we are. We’re so excited that you want to work with us! Initially, we didn’t travel much at all, especially once we had a 12 month old and newborn twins. Over the years, though, we’ve been working on finding ways to see the world, anxiety and all! We share our experiences in hopes of inspiring others to live life to the fullest, no matter what! We strive to provide guidance and recommendations on how to manage travel anxiety, how to avoid getting sick while traveling (and what to do if it happens anyway!), family vacations, theme park guides, and ideas for getaways that are perfect for conquering fears. Whether it’s climbing a mountain or a taking a swim in an underground river, we believe that one of the best therapies is to learn from something that scares us. That being said, if we don’t think something feels safe, or if we didn’t enjoy our experience, we won’t recommend it! Here are some things to know about us:
- We only write about places we’ve visited first-hand.
- We’ll never lie to our readers.
We love exploring new places, especially as a couple! We’re openly looking for opportunities to try new destinations with our kids, too! We look forward to working together to show our readers new ways to conquer anxiety through meaningful travel experiences!
