Sharing is caring!

We tend to enjoy most of the races we’ve signed up for, but the Super Run 5k: Heroes Vs. Villains was extra fun! The Super Run is a national series of 5k races partnering with non-profit organizations to help raise funds and awareness for a cause. So, really, by dressing up and getting in on the action, we were also helping to save the day!

Super Hero Run

Josh and I have done many races together, but it’s always extra fun when we can include other members of the family. We think it’s a great way to burn off anxiety and stay fit! For the Super Run 5K, Hayley and Caleb tagged along, and that made it so much sweeter!

Caped Crusaders

No one in our family dressed up like superheroes (thankfully, because everyone else did!) but we did have a good time throwing together our costumes! I’ve never been so grateful for the speedy Amazon Prime delivery!

Super Hero Run

Caleb, Josh and I went with a Star Wars theme — I was R2D2, Josh was C3PO, and our little guy was the cutest BB-8 the world has ever seen! We picked the capes that matched our costumes best (although Caleb didn’t keep his on very long) and our outfits were set!

Super Hero Run

Hayley took things to the next level with her adorable Pikachu costume! She even had a little tail! Everyone complimented her as she ran by throughout the course which made me smile. I know she loved it!

Super Hero Run

At the end of the race, we all took turns posing for some post-run pictures while we danced on the grass and nibbled on free snacks!

Super Hero Run

This is the fiercest Pikachu ever! The sun was shining, our legs were burning, and it was just a wonderful time outdoors as a family! I’m so glad that Hayley and Caleb got to tag along!

Super Run 5K

We’re not sure when or if the Super Run 5K will return to Boise, but if it does, we’ll be ready!
