We tried the Feetox Foot Detox Pads so that you don’t have to! Do they actually work? We have no idea and the jury’s out on WebMD, too. What we can tell you, though, is that the whole experience was a lot of fun — and sometimes that matters more than anything! Four of us tried them for a week, so we thought we’d share a quick review!
After searching for detox pads on Amazon, we noticed a pattern in the reviews. People seemed to have a better experience when the sticky part of the pads already attached! Apparently, some brands make you do weird things to keep them on your feet. Good thing we did our research!
Using Feetox Foot Detox Pads
The Feetox Foot Detox Pads arrived in a shiny, silver package. For our experiment, we upgraded to the all-natural organic pack that came with different formulas. Below, you’ll see the rose, green tea, lavender, and mint.
When it comes to foot shape and size, there’s a little bit of everything in our house. We’ve got two ladies with wide feet (size 8), one guy with very flat feet (size 12) and another guy with wide, arched feet (size 13). We were so interested in seeing if this impacted how well they stuck to our feet!
While you’re supposed to put these Feetox Foot Detox Pads on just before bed, we all had to get up to do things with them on (brush teeth, use the bathroom). For the most part, we were still comfortable even if walking was a bit awkward.
Three of us felt like there was some tingle action going on pretty soon after putting them on. Of course, that could have been our imaginations. I swear my feet felt warm all four nights that I was wearing them.
The first night I had them on, I started feeling anxious. I’m not sure what it was, but it was pretty intense. By the second night, though, I’d grown used to them and slept really well the next three nights.
Every morning, we assessed the damage. When we peeled back the stickers the first time, it was really nasty. There was a goopy consistency to the black stuff on the pads, and (gross alert!) we all agreed that it smelled like beef. Like, I left mine out on the counter and came back a couple hours later and the whole bathroom smelled like it.
I know there are folks who say the blackness is from the pads being moist or wet from sweat, but that smell seemed like biological waste. I can’t confirm anything except to say it was YUCKY! UGH.
By the fourth day, the pads were still black, but getting lighter. Honestly, I’d hoped it would look better than this by Day 4, but that’s the best it got. It’s nothing I’ve ever even thought of doing before, but I’d definitely try it for the full 30 days recommended on the Feetox Foot Detox Pads package!
