Travel Anxiety

Whether it’s pre-travel anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), or general travel anxiety, dealing with your emotions can be a hindrance to enjoying a vacation or an added burden when traveling for business. It’s entirely possible, though, to gradually work up and improve your coping strategies and comfort level.

Everyone deserves a vacation, but hitting the road for the beach or flying to a resort isn’t relaxing for everyone.  A fear of flying is one common fear, and being confined on an airplane with coughing passengers can add to the worry for some passengers. Not being able to find a sanitary restroom near the highway can make someone wish they’d just stayed home.

There are options, however, to help you reduce the stress of travel anxiety, enjoy a trip, and find wellness. With the right preparation, you can understand what might be problematic and find solutions to put you at ease. Simple things like packing wipes, wearing a mask, or pre-planning a travel route can help. You may not completely overcome your travel anxiety, but you can find ways to thrive in spite of it!
