Planning a trip to Universal Orlando Resort? Checking out off-site hotels? Don’t be lulled by slightly lower prices. The benefits of staying at an official hotel far outweigh any additional costs. Plus, Universal is always offering great promotions so keep an eye out for deals. In the meantime, here are just five reasons to stay at Universal Orlando Resort.

Free Transportation

When you stay at a Universal Orlando Resort property, you’ll never have to worry about how to get into the action. That can go a long way towards fighting travel anxiety! Just hop on one of the free shuttle buses or water taxis! You’ll be dropped off between the entrances of Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, right in the middle of the CityWalk!

We loved that the buses were clean and air-conditioned. They leave on a regular schedule so we never had to wait more than two minutes! The water taxi was so much fun. At nighttime, the bright lights of Universal Orlando Resort looked beautiful reflecting on the water! It added a little romance to the end of a busy day!

Rooms for Couples and Families

There are many different properties at Universal Orlando Resort, with new ones being added all the time. We stayed at the recently opened Aventura Hotel without our kids and thought it was absolutely amazing. It was a close walk to Universal’s Volcano Bay and the amenities were perfect for us.

Surfside Inn and Suites

The Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites just opened in Summer 2019. Beach-themed and affordable, these two-bedroom suites sleep six and are a great option for families or groups traveling together. We were fortunate enough to stay there with Caleb and it was great. One day, we’ll gather the courage to travel with all six kids again and this is where we’ll stay!

Great Food Options

There is so much good food at Universal Orlando Resort! Josh and I don’t have the same tastes for everything but we were always able to find something delicious! Whether it’s the tasty food at the hotels, inside the parks, or along the CityWalk, you definitely won’t go hungry — even if you’re eating keto! Best of all, if you’re on a budget, you’ll be happy to know that the prices are reasonable!

If you haven’t already, check out our post “Where to Eat at Universal Orlando Resort.” We offer some tips and reviews of the restaurants we’ve visited including The Three Broomsticks and Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen. One day, we even shared a $13 pie from Red Oven Pizza and it was more than enough to fill our bellies!

Outstanding Service

We travel a lot and we’ve got to say that the service at Universal Orlando Resort is absolutely top-notch! From the waitstaff at the CityWalk restaurants to our amazing guide during Halloween Horror Nights, we had a wonderful experience. We don’t know how they recruit, but it’s working!

Special shout out to the folks who work in the shops at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It must be absolutely exhausting for them! Fans are always in there swarming the place, trying on robes, and asking about wands. Despite the chaos, the employees seem genuinely happy and love talking about all things Harry Potter!

Park Perks

Staying at a Universal Orlando Resort property has some amazing perks. Guests can breeze into Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, or Volcano Bay an hour before the parks open! All we had to do was produce our room key and, suddenly, we were on Escape from Gringotts all alone! Who doesn’t love to beat the crowds on a ride like this?

On top of that, if you stay at select hotels, you can skip the regular lines for most attractions because free Universal Express Unlimited Passes are included when you’ve purchased admission tickets! When you look at how much those things cost, it really is worth it. You’ll save time in line so that you can get the most out of your vacation!

We plan to make many trips to Universal Orlando Resort as a couple and with our large family. There’s no question for us – we will always stay at a Universal property. They just make it too good to pass up!
